For those located outside of NYC, remote tutoring is a great option. You can get access to a premier GMAT tutor from the comfort of your own home. I have worked remotely with students from all over the world and various corners of the US with great results.
I use Skype for videoconferencing and a digital sketchpad, which allows me to share my hand-written notes, scratch-work, and diagrams with you in real-time. At the end of our lesson, I can email you a pdf version of the notes so you may review them on your own. Not all my students choose to show up on video -- it's ok if you're camera shy, but you will be able to see and hear me, as I take you through topics, specific problems, and answer any questions you may have.
