Customization and flexibility are some of the most valuable aspects of my services. I am very good at figuring out what would be the best set of sessions for you (if, in fact, you need more than one). Additionally, pretty much all of my clients come up with questions and need advice on something they have not considered prior to the session simply as a result of our discussion. That said, in this section I will attempt to outline a "typical" client experience to give you some idea of what you may expect when engaging MBA Gambit.
Initial ContactDuring our initial contact I will ask you to provide me with a brief overview of your experience with the GMAT thus far; Have you taken the test? Have you attended another course or tutor? Have you studied on your own? I will also inquire as to your current scoring range (if you know it), and what your target score may be. This will help focus our first session.
First SessionDuring our first session, we will discuss your MBA aspirations and GMAT history in slightly more detail. You will convey to me what you are hoping to get out of our sessions, your timeline for taking the test and/or applying to your target schools, and note any particular areas where you may need help. Based on your needs and current level of preparation, we will develop a plan to help you achieve your GMAT goals.
If you are an advanced GMATter, we can use the rest of the session to address whatever specific topics, practice content, or strategy questions you may have. For more novice GMATters, I will customize the rest of our discussion to your current level of preparation; I will usually cover key aspects of the GMAT, the Official Guide materials, and practice strategies which have been proven to take advantage of the structure of the test and the OG.
Follow-on SessionsThe sessions that follow will be based on our plan (which will be adjusted as needed as your prep progresses). A significant portion of our sessions will be spent reviewing content areas and problem types. We will also address higher-level aspects of the GMAT such as study habits, approaches to certain question types, and how to pick up on certain question patterns.
Ultimately, my goal is to give you enough guidance to enable you to practice effectively and achieve your target GMAT score.
